Baggage
If you have booked an individual seat for your child, you can bring along the same amount of hand baggage and check-in baggage as that of an adult. Also, you may bring a portable buggy and a child car seat for each child that has its own seat. However, you need to pay for a child younger than 2 years of age who will be traveling on your lap. But on account of any infant you can carry:
- 1 piece of hand baggage with baby care products, the weight of which can be max. 12 kg or 26 lbs. and with dimensions of max. 55 x 35 x 25 cm or 22 x 14 x 10 inch.
- 1 portable buggy
- 1 car seat for the infant
The check-in baggage allowance for an infant traveling on your lap depends on your KLM Airlines ticket type and destination.
Meals
For kids aged 2 years and older, the airlines have special children’s meals on KLM flights – at no extra cost. Please ensure that you have made a reservation at least 24 hours before departure when booking your flight of while checking your KLM Flight Status. Dinner you child gets at the flights will be a real treat, such as a mini hamburger and fries. The exact menu varies per flight. KLM’s Mascot Bluey will be in every meal box, together with a junior pilot adventure game or junior pilot diploma. For Infants, it is advised that you bring your own baby food. On intercontinental flights, they have only a few special baby meals available. These are free of charge and there is no need to be ordered beforehand. Every 0-2-year-old flying with us receives a free Bluey bib.
